Undoubtedly the most important as it is responsible for filtering the particles that go directly to the engine of our vehicle. By changing the air filter on time and placing the best quality filter we reduce wear on our engine.
HOW ARE THE AIR FILTERS COMPOSED?
On the one hand, there are the paper filters, which complete their cycle and must be replaced with new ones based on what the user manual communicates. Normally, the other filters of the vehicle are changed together, but it is advisable to change them more frequently if you travel on dirt roads. 8000 or 10,000 km is advisable for most brands

There are also washable synthetic air filters (a little more expensive than paper ones) but this allows us to clean it when we see it necessary using K&N Air filter cleaner products for example.
CLEANING SYNTHETIC AIR FILTERS
As we mentioned above, to wash a synthetic air filter you need at least 2 products to carry out its correct cleaning.
One of them is called K&N Air filter cleaner (they exist in other brands as well) and it is an oil which must be applied on the filter and let it rest for a few minutes and then be removed with a pressure washer or hose with good pressure pulling the water from inside. and out of the filtrate.
The other product is called K&N Air filter OIL and as the English word indicates it is an oil that is applied after cleaning and drying and this achieves a greater capture of particles on the filtrate.
